one after another, research sites dedicated to various aspects of rebetiko are
springing up on the Internet. The foundations of rebetology are being
transformed!
Since
websites tend to die as fast as others are being set up, this Rebetiko Research
Index will gather the best of what is available on-line. In part it draws on
work already done by others. You will find discographies, biographies of the rebetes
and rebetisses, analysis of rhythmic modes, histories of Greek musical culture,
