Part of this Concert will be performed by members of the Famous SOAS Rebetiko Band from London.

This is prior notification of the Rebetiko Summer School to be held at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS, London) in late June 2009.

Our ninth annual Hydra conference will be held on the weekend of 16-18 October 2009. The plan is that immediately prior to Hydra we shall also do a sizeable conference in Piraeus, together with a concert.

 

The Hydra Rebetiko Conference takes place as one of the activities of the

 FREE UNIVERSITY OF HYDRA.

with the support of the Mayor and Municipality of Hydra and dedicated to the study and research of all matters concerning the culture, economics, history and social life of all the countries which border the Mediterranean.
